I have a bad case of diarrhea!

For years now, I've been telling people that the only possible explanation of modern Japanese culture is that they've been thoroughly infiltrated at the highest levels of their society by Illithids. They hate humanity, you see, and here we can see them using their Japanese proxies to communicate this fact to the world at large. Doing so, I believe, is a great source of amusement for the Mind-Flayer over-class which rules over Japan; they set their human thralls about the task of demeaning the human condition and eroding all human dignity - a task which the Japanese have become uniquely skilled at - in order to serve the overall Illithid agenda of breaking the wills of the human race, so as to facilitate their eventual consumptions of all of our brains.

It is with this in mind that I view Japanese culture with a unique combination of fascination and bottomless, endless, dread.

Japanese culture reminds me of what people in the 80s would think the future would be like.

Oh, and may you have a merry Christmas, Dave, whether you believe it or not. :D

And a joyous Yuletide to you, my dear girl!

May your yule tree, mistletoe, gift-giving and other such pagan symbols and practices bring you and yours tremendous comfort and good cheer this winter day!

Hm, I kinda like to think that we stole those from their pagan state, but my brother doesn't like them. Moot point in my case, as I don't own/rent a house as of yet.

You know, the more I hear about your brother, the more I like him. It sounds to me like he has none of the hypocrisy and intellectual dishonesty I find so distasteful in so many christians.

While I'm sure I would disagree - vigorously - with his core beliefs, it sounds like he's given them some real thought and approaches them honestly. It's refreshing.

Hm, well he generally thinks things through carefully. I'd get him to talk to you, but they keep him darn busy at the Air Force Academy.

Hey, did you ever check out some stuff that he recommended to you a while back? I think it was the book "Fear and Trembling" by Soren Kirkegaarde.

I didn't. I actually forgot entirely about the suggestion. I'm writing it down now, though, and WILL look into it today.

In the mean time, I would welcome your insights in the discussion I just started in the atheism community on the topic of worship (I would post the link but this hand-held device won't let me).

I don't know how ethical it is to post on a board mean for athiests, but I'll take a look at it when I get the chance. My net right now is kinda tenuous, bcause I'm still at the discipleship school, and plus I'll be going to Korea soon.

Oh and if you look at the Kirkegaarde book, be aware that it uses very old and complicated language...hm, nah, you should be fine.
