I'm sure he understands.
For the benefit of those of you who for whatever missedyesterday's post, or else didn't pay it the attention it only-in-the-loosest-possible-of-terms-de
In an act of nearly unmitigated cockpunching irony, I shall require my readers in this singular instance not to look, but to listen, as I wax poetic on the topic of looking, rather than listening.
Edit: Upon review, I do believe this may actually be my most bizarre blog post ever, finally displacing my previous title-holder, which among other things contained visions of a giant, orgasming space-bear made up of stars and human souls.
So, this morning I saw posted in one of the many communities I'm a member of a link to a goofy christian site:
http://www.goodpersontest.com/
It's pretty familliar material; I've seen it enough times before, in only very slightly different forms (such as in this extremely grating video by the human embodiment of the concept of smarminess; VenomFangX). I've long found it to be pretty vacuous stuff, and I've long considered writing up my response to it, but I knew that doing so would be a lengthy and not particularly rewarding experience. Fortunately, the medium of audioblogging provides me an alternative!
Listen, enjoy, comment at will.
For those of a mood to hear a true story of true comedy of the highest and most sophisticated order, I suggest you follow (or perhaps more prudently "save as") the following link.
So I've decided to try something new. An audio blog, or "audioblog", if you like. my timing, as always, is extremely opportune; I have acrippling cold, which I think gives my voice a ruggedly crackly quality. Like a mountain man, down out of the wilderness to share his musings with the village folks down below.
Basically, I wanted to record something with no script, minimal planning, and just kind of rant. As much as I love the medium of written text, there is something to be said for sitting down and talking with one's audience.
This first entry is on the topic of cargo cults:
And moreover, on the topic of faith in general.
Enjoy.
